C&J Dobbin have been operational for over 45 years. The company was set-up by John Dobbin (Snr) and provided High Voltage (H.V.) Cable Termination and Jointing, cable laying, and cable laying tool hire services. 

From the 60’s to the early 90’s our client base was primarily based in the heavy engineering and petro-chemical industries. However, due to the specialist nature of our works we are regularly appointed on a sub-contract basis to various Electrical contractors throughout the U.K. to carry out the H.V. element of the works within large scale commercial and chemical projects.  

As a result of the ongoing advancement in cable manufacturing and jointing technologies we have extended our works from (up to)11kV to 33kV. With the recent release of the revised Part L of the Building Regulations and the countries determination to minimise energy usage and maximise renewable energy sources, we have been fortunate to be involved in the installation of various large and small scale wind farms throughout the UK.

We are considered experts in our line of work and if appointed early enough we can offer sound advice formed on the basis of successful completion of over 200 turbines and associated switchgear.
